About Us

At Chapel Arts, we blend modern and traditional methods to craft unique furniture. From live edge tables to bar tops and coffee tables, each piece is designed to be both stunning and durable— timeless treasures meant to last for generations.

Ethically Sourced Collection

Ethically sourced from urban and rural hardwood trees, our collection features local woods like walnut, oak, maple, and arbutus, recently expanded to include California Claro Walnut, Bastogne Walnut, and Valley Oak. Each Premium Slab is selected with care, ensuring that every piece we produce stands the test of time.

Beyond Tables

But hey, we're not just about tables! Our studio and shop are equipped to take on a variety of projects. With years of experience, we geek out over projects like street art, functional designs, and mechanical creations. Got a wild idea or need one? Whether it’s collaborating with business owners, homeowners, or entrepreneurs, we’re all about pushing boundaries and crafting one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate creativity and design.

We’ll discuss design and costs in a detail proposal.

There are 3 important aspects to consider:

FURNITURE CRAFTED STEP-BY-STEP

  • At Chapel Arts, our matchmaking process begins by understanding the client’s needs—such as the desired size, style, and function of the piece.

Then, we match these expectations with our wood inventory, taking into account species, character, grain, and availability from specific logs.

This personalized approach ensures that each client is paired with wood that not only meets their vision but also brings out the natural beauty and story of the material.

  • At Chapel Arts, we work closely with homeowners and professionals—both online and in person—to design furniture that fits your vision.

We provide drawings for your approval before production begins. From there, we’ll recommend the most suitable finish based on how the piece will be used—keeping in mind that certain finishes may affect the budget.

A 50% deposit is required to begin your project, with the remaining 50% due upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • You can choose from water-based and oil-based polyurethane finishes, as well as hand-applied finishes like Danish oil, tongue oil, and Odie's oil. To help you decide, we offer samples of our main finishing options.

Our finishing process is versatile, and it’s not uncommon to incorporate resin casting in varying amounts, depending on the project’s needs.

We also utilize a range of toning techniques to achieve the perfect look and feel for your piece.
